euro! euro!

Most of the songs in the Eurovision song contest are rather dull. *cough* Most of them are even, dare I say, very bad, even given the usual quality of the songs in said contest. Lordi gets a thumbs-up from me because, well, Lordi, but the others? Nah.

Then in comes Lithuania.

You know that a performance is going to be special when it's by six male artists who are all failed former Eurovision participants. The song itself is brilliant. Most the lyrics consist of "we are the winners of Eurovision/so vote for us now" or something like that. They were silly on the stage, and the song ended with a very loud "VOTE!" with all the men holding up their hands in a V sign.

If they get through the semi-finals, I'm seriously going to vote for them. Blame propaganda.

[edit] Aaaand Lithuania got to the finals! ♥

And come on, there were THREE countries who just made a joke of the whole circus; love love Lithuania love love Finland AND love love ICELAND. Silvia, that was more euroviisu than anything ever before. XD

Ooh, I didn't see it. I stopped following the program some time after Finland so I didn't see the last, what, five or so performances. What was Iceland's like?

There was a girl who had this role, named Silvia Night or something like that and she was more euroviisu than any euroviisu ever, parody in other words; minimum clothing with maximum glitter, a huuuge white head-thingy; a horrible pikkuoravat-singing voice and corny dance coreographs. When she entered the stage people booed. When interviewed she had just fucketi-fucked to the press, I was told. Happy some countries have some sense of humour ;)

I haven't even heard the Lordi's song yet. :'D I was so tired when I came home yesterday I fell straight to my bed. XD I shall watch the finals, then! :B

XD)

Musically speaking, Lordi's song is better than most of the others, and I find this... very sad.
