Ah, I need to watch it. I've heard friends say that it made them feel very uncomfortable, but others loved it and couldn't praise it enough.

It certainly isn't for everyone, the whole atmosphere in the movie is unsettling at best, in several (brilliant!) ways. I admit that part of the reason it hit home with me so well is because I have history with both classical music and dancing, and Swan Lake is at the same time my favourite ballet and my favourite score by Tchaikovsky, so I know it by heart.
