korpi | see no nothing

These past three days have been painful. My eyes are being repaired and I have to make do with my old ones back from my elementary school days. They aren't exactly comfortable to wear, they're too tight for my older head. I use them as little as possible. But with any luck my disoriented struggle through daily life will be eased tomorrow, yay!

This has made me wonder! Why isn't needing glasses considered a handicap? They cost $ big money $ and one has only to be slightly blind to be rendered utterly useless for many, many trivial but somehow vital little things in life. Just today someone who passed me by as I was biking home greeted me and I, uh, didn't find out who it was. D:

Plus, trying to find your favourite kind of chocolate bar from a shelf while nigh blind looks... kind of undignified.
