...if you haven't yet seen this masterpiece, do yourself a favour and WATCH IT. Don't let the first two installments fool you, the heights this anime manages to reach by the last OVA defy imagination.

More seriously: convincing science fiction in between all the super robot stuff plus beautiful hand-drawn animation. And the main character is female, so it's a girl that gets to punch shit while screaming on top of her lungs, which is cathartic. It does get irritatingly generous with the boobs and the ass at times, but in the last episode even that manages to exceed just plain fanservice. ORYAAAAAAAAHHHHH
