Gundam 00 episode 37

Nearing halfway point and still no Innovator casualties. If I were the director, I'd let them all live. No one would be expecting that! Besides, quirky miniboss bands where the characters have no function outside of being temporal antagonists are a waste of character space, and every Innovator so far has had much too much potential to be wasted like that (okay, maybe not Anew, but her position alone makes her interesting... and she has a hot voice). I admit that I'm inexplicably fond of them, and thus possibly biased, but for the most part I just really dislike that sort of character groups in storytelling.

Possibly as soon as the very next episode my dream will be ruined, but this is what I'm hoping for now. :(

...Revive slips into ´watashi´ when he's shaken, ahaha.

Nice to see that while Saji breaking down for the nth time Louise is all cold and composed. (...Tieria is Saji's voice of conscience, lol.) Excellent mental deduction on Louise's part, too, and the buildup was impressive. (Seriously, since the START OF THE FIRST SEASON.) I really hope she lives. And I really hope she lives without Saji - even when she inevitably hears the real story (unless she bites it before then BUT THEN IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE ANYWAY). Both characters are more interesting alone than together.

I want Marina to have a complete breakdown re: doing nothing vs. fighting back and emerge from it as a BADASS.

Haven't watched this episode yet, but I'm looking forward to Louise kicking ass. They *are* so much more interesting alone... though the I guess the relationship has at least been a catalyst for development. But I hope it doesn't last.

I think we're ALL waiting on Marina...

Louise's reaction to last episode's climax was delicious, especially in contrast to Saji's, is all I'm saying.

Marina... Every episode she seems to have hit the rock bottom, only for the next episode to prove us wrong. I'd wager that the combined guilt for her past passiveness comes back to her in the last episodes, and then she, I don't know.

Becomes Gundam.
