You've just washed two machinefuls of laundry. Collecting them, you notice that some pieces of clothing aren't properly clean. Do you
a) wash them again by hand
b) decide to wash them again alongside the (dirty) clothes you're currently wearing?
If you chose the latter, do you, before filling the machine again
a) fetch some clean, dry clothes from your apartment (just next door)
b) decide to wear some of the wet clothes currently in you possession instead?
If you chose the second option both times, congratulations, you're just as special as I am.
