FOR EVERYONE WHO WISHES TO EXPERIENCE PARANOIA IN THE TRUEST SENSE: Would YOU survive the zombie apocalypse?
I had my First French Exam Ever yesterday. There were lots and lots of aww-dorable 'what are the forms of the verb 'être''-type questions. Though answering a question with 'non, je n'aime pas la musique classique' was painful. NOOOOOOOOON J'ADORE LA MUSIQUE CLASSIQUE. DDDDD:
As for my general dead-ness in this journal and in others over the past few months, I started my studies in this facility here... and then there was that whole moving-away-from-home -thing too I guess.... Luckily things have settled a bit.
But now to the important part!

EVERYONE GOT SO MUCH MORE MATURE.
Soma is perhaps the one who floored me the most. I was never a big fan of her, or had much of an opinion at all aside from the obligatory tentative approval for her being a competent female pilot, but now she has lost that rigidness she had while still being very much in charge AND SHE'S HOT.
Tieria's development into the ~awesome supporting presence~ type was perhaps inevitable given the last episodes of the first season, BUT IT'S STILL SO AMAZING TO SEE IN ACTION. ALSO HE'S HOT.
I'm SO impressed with Lyle's role so far. I thought there was no way they could pull such a cheap switch in a way that would satisfy me, but apparently they know what they're doing. I was wrong, I admit it. I love how he doesn't even seem to be a top person in the resistance movement, just an agent. What will the rest of the crew do when they learn he's passing information to Catalon? Approve of it? LYNCH HIM? ...going by the latest episode, Tieria just might do the latter.
...And he's hot!
Wang Liu-Mei has grown into her role. Physical maturity (= ...hotness?) fits better with her attitude, and it was about time she lost those terrible pigtails. I HOPE SHE'S THE FINAL BOSS. This show has such a good track record for powerful female characters, it might actually happen!
Speaking of strong female charactersKATI IS HOT LOUISE IS A FUCKING PILOT YESSSSS NOW IF SHE MANAGES TO KICK ASS AT SOME POINT SHE'LL BE FIGHTING WITH TIERIA FOR THE POSITION OF MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER IN THIS SHOW. But just having the determination to want to go and ATTACK THOSE FUCKING GUNDAMS ALREADY makes her amazing. EEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I love the character development in this series. <3333
Ribbons is a creepy fucker who also makes me smile stupidly every time he's on screen, and Regene's snide remarks are amazing. I'm fully prepared to fall head over heels for Regene when he gets more screentime. But it's startling to hear such a light voice coming out of a Tieria look-alike.
The Innovators' outfits are the best thing since Ashe's pink miniskirt, and I will not allow any snide remarks made about them. >( THEY ARE HOT.
Sumeragi's doubts are believable and make me like her more, Lasse's gotten even manlier (maybe it's the contrast to the rest of the bridge bunnies?), and Allelujah is moe. All are v. hot!
No opinion on Mileina yet, but her desu-habit has given birth to some hilarious pieces of fanart in the Japanese fandom, so she's okay in my book. Besides, she provides an excellent counterpart to Tieria, what's not to love? ...She's not hot yet though, only cute.
Sadly, these episodes have finally cemented the fact that I'm allergic to protagonists. Setsuna's probably among my top three favourites, but when he's shown all "i be leader nao" my first reaction is a very intense DDDD< !!!!! at the screen, before I even realize what I'm doing. :´(
Pairings I want to happen this season: Marina/Shirin and Liu-Mei/Nena WOW TWO FEMSLASH PAIRINGS ALREADY WHAT IS THIS, and then I have a graving Lyle/Regene, however that would happen. Damn you, billowing laundry. Also Tieria/Lockon's memory, Kati/Patrick, Louise/Saji (although I'm finally starting to see why some people dislike Saji), Sumeragi/booze etc. Nothing new to see here.
....and all this discussion surrounding the ep 4 preview concerning Lyle and potential romantic interests and whatnot has made me wonder: if Tieria is Vowels, why can't Feldt be Consonants? IT'D TOTALLY BE A LEGITIMATE NICKNAME.

"Marie" was probably what kept him more or less sane. Didn't have to think about other nasty things with such single-minded obsession. (Still, he looks like he hasn't rested in forever. A week of sleep in a good bed will help. ...Or a few months.)
