korpi: (not a gay movie!)

a... placeholder, of sorts

Nothing fancy, just my reactions to different series and such (some of which I've finished, most of which I haven't), with a sentence or two. No spoilers whatsoever.

Last Exile (anime), which I finished about a month ago, was pretty, had wonderful setting and nice music. And I didn't like it, at all.

Berserk (manga) is finally, after nearly five volumes of stalling, getting back to the groove!

Gungrave (anime) - watching it is about as interesting as... watching paint dry. Which is a bad analogy because watching paint dry can be fun sometimes. Granted, I've only seen the first nine episodes, but still...

Honey & Clover (anime) is gorgeous. I've still got three episodes to go, and I've heard some bad stuff about the ending, but it really can't get bad bad. Morita Shinobu is my role model.

Tokyo Crazy Paradise (manga). I hate the drawing style and the plot isn't all that challenging, but something about it holds my attention. Let's wait and hope. *a little over halfway through, yo*

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (live action) - the main thing to note about it is that I'm not really watching it. Really. ...Really.

Shin Petshop of Horrors (manga). I like the cases better than in the original series, but something is missing.

KKM (manga) is pretty.

Paradise Kiss (anime) would do much better without the chibi sequences. The opening song grates on my nerves but fits the series oh-so-well. (...Not because it grates on my nerves.)

Yakitate!! Japan (anime) is on crack, but the manga is still on more crack. Which, now that I think of it, might be a bad thing.

Star Wreck: In the Pirkkining (movie). Due to confusion on my part, I downloaded the subtitled version, which means that I could compare the subtitles and what was being said all the time. And. All the best jokes in the movie just... didn't translate.
(Garygrandi *DRUNK*: "Olenhan sentään... kaikkien janoisten sankari... aikamme legenda.")

Gundam Wing (anime) was supposed to be bad. Now, it's not the best of the best, but it's not all that bad. And Relena, the most hated character in the series, is actually my favourite so far. C'mon, she has a pink car. Maybe it'll get worse as I continue. Maybe Relena'll get a black car.

Summary of all the above: Fafner is still better! Even if Honey & Clover and Berserk beat it 7-5 at a purely critical level.
