The world probably doesn't speak/write Japanese in twelve thousand years, but people DO REALIZE that Japanese is the language that Noriko and Kazumi understand and resonates with them the most. It's to show that after all this time they are welcome home, still. Why the hell use a language they wouldn't understand? It's not like coming up with such a short message in a dead language is HARD.
